"It has been with great anticipation that I, and numerous other amp lovers, have waited for the release of Jim’s remarkable book on the history and early years of Vox amplifiers. It will be the most definitive work ever written on VOX; and from what I have seen, it is in the running to be one of best - if not THE best - and most detailed book ever written on vintage musical instruments and/or amplifiers. Jim definitively answers many previously unanswered questions because he spent the resources and time to get his information directly from the source: the people who worked at VOX in the early years. To understand Jim’s passion for the subject, all you have to do is enter the inner sanctum of his VOX museum…"

Having known Jim and his passion for JMI-era Vox amps for the last 11 years, it's been really exciting to see the information and detailed material he's been able to un-earth. His attention to detail is second to none and he's been able to de-bunk a lot of myths and half-truths that people have taken for fact over the last four decades. This is a must have for anyone who's into Vox Amps!
